We had some leftover ciabatta bread this morning so I made french toast served with caramelized bananas, walnuts and maple syrup.
You'll need:
6 slices of ciabatta
2 eggs
2 dl milk
1 tsp sugar
One pinch of cinnamon
One pinch of cardamom
Tiny pinch of salt
Mix the batter together and let the slices of bread soak in it for 20 mins. Fry on a medium heat until the toast is golden and crunchy on the edges.
For the caramelized bananas simply fry sliced bananas in a bit of butter until golden and scrumpitous!
